I have recently noticed that my inner lower gums are turning black. I do not have discomfort or ant other problem. This change should have occurred over the past two weeks. I`d like to find out the cause for this change and if it`s reversible.

I just noticed the gum is discolored (sort of black/grey) around part of the edge where it meets the tooth. Is this normal or should I be concerned? Answer; Hi Marie; It takes a little while for the tissues to settle after a procedure such as this.

I`ve notice that the gum under my lower back teeth (Capped when i was a child) is black. From the look of it, its all around that tooth. It doesn`t hurt or anything. Its just black under that tooth. Should I be concern.
