Subject: Why can't stars be seen during the day? ... It seems that the intensity light from a star is greater than the intesnity of light from a point on the moon. We can see the moon during the day but not the stars. If the stars were clustered together would we be able to see them during the day.

The daytime sky is simply too bright to allow us to see even the brightest stars (although Sirius can sometimes be glimpsed just after the Sun rises if you know exactly where to look.) Venus can be seen as a tiny white speck but again, you have to be looking exactly at the right spot.

Well Ashley, first realize that there is the same number of stars in our night sky pretty much every night over our short lifetimes. In fact, there is the same number in our daytime sky too, ... If it's any less than that (for the reasons given above) then it's not a perfect black sky, and not as many stars will be seen.
