I also think that since in the winter the hot water seems to go by quicker, as I am taking a shower the water begins to get cold, it triggers the itch. I itch horribly, I have scratched my legs with plastic butter knives , toothpicks, pretty much anything to discontinue the itching.

When I get out of a warm shower I itch unless I use a rougher towel to rub really, really hard and get the dead skin off my arms and legs. Then I follow up with moisturizer. If I don't do this at least every other day I feel like things are crawling under my skin.

Wow, I've never heard of that before. I know sometimes if I stay in the shower too long, and I get "pruney" the palms of my hands itch. That must be horrible.
