I'm just going to let the title speak for itself on this one. ... Children are born to this world without asking for it, life just happens to exist for them. This is a hard and sick world we live in and our children need their parents to support, nurture, protect and guide them.

Here in Utah we have a law that allows people to give up infants without fear of prosecution, but in Nebraska parents can abandon children up to the age of 19 if they leave them at a state-run hospital.

Its possible to tell children some version of what a parent has done as early as when the they start to ask, "Were did I come from?". Parents or other guardians, however, need to be careful to present children with a simple and brief explanation that doesn't include the term, "abandoned", ... parents abandoning children...
