When a puppy shakes or shivers it is either scared or cold. 5 weeks is too young to be away from its momma, puppies should be able to nurse until they are atleast 6 or 8 weeks old. The only exception to that is if the mom refuses and even then it should still be with its litter mates until atleast until they are 6-8 weeks.
