This makes me think of all the things that I say Amen to. When I end a prayer with amen, I am agreeing or confirming what I just said. The Our Father or The Lords Prayer, I must agree with everything said in that prayer.

Some say it is Amon, some say Amen, some say Amun . The Strongs concordance says, Amown. I have a bible dictionary that states Amon or Amen, the hidden, so to me it is too close to the Egyptian deity to use at the end of a prayer.
