I'm no mechanic either, but I had similar problems, and it once it was the alternator - maybe you should check that, and another time, it was the spark plugs. You're right, though, it may be a POS. Good luck.

The problem that I am having is my Service Engine Soon light keeps coming on, then goes out after it resets itself (after so many times of turning the car on and off). When I am driving usually at higher speeds, but not all the time the car seems to hesitate when I accelerate.

While this article concentrates on the 90+, ... Therefore it made the car run very rich. The sensor cost a whole $23, but the labor, and another spark plug which was ruined because of the problem tallied it up to $103 and change. After driving it around town today and tonight, I must say that the Z's ready to kill once again!;

My car randomly stalls while driving and Chevy needs to do something to fix this. Has anyone found the solution to this problem yet, ... Engine hesitates when acceleratng around 2000 RPM's. If I hold hte gas pedal around the 2000 RPM area it continuously will hesitate until either I get of the gas or step on the throttle.

Engine stopped while driving with the 2001 Ford Focus. Typically driving on the freeway the car will seem to hesitate quickly. This includes a lose of power to the engine, making the headlights dim. I own after ...
