Maridelm what you are looking for is correctly called "Tincture of Green ; Soap". Get it at the drug store. Make a mix of half water and half tincture of green soap and you are ready to go. Apply with a natural bristle brush.

My thanks to everyone who has answered my query on green soap, apparently correctly named ' Tincture of Green Soap'; It may still exist, available from pharmacists while something called ; "mould soap" is available in ceramic supply houses.(I have not had an opportunity to check these two).
