0 Rating: Bad Answer ... if unexcused absences or tardies kept you out of college, then no one at my school would be accepted. my school is notorious with tardies and unexcused absences. including myself, this year so far i have had 13 tardies for first period and more absences than i can count, none of which were excused.

Attendance: You will be allowed three (3) unexcused tardies. Upon the fourth (4), you will do a 30-minute detention with me after school. Each subsequent tardy earns you an additional detention. Subsequent tardies are bad news.

A CSEC staff member checks the status of D11, D20, D49 and D38 between 5:00 and 5:30am on potentially bad weather days and checks again between 5:45 and 6:00am. The decision is made immediately based on CSEC’s policy (see above.)

On bad weather days tardies will not be recorded until 8:30 a.m. which is 15 minutes after the school day normally begins. Five or more tardies in any one quarter will be considered excessive which will subject the student to either disciplinary and/or academic sanctions for the cumulative class time that has been missed.

Habitual tardies reinforce bad habits that are unacceptable in higher education and the work place. Please be aware that tardies cause compound problems for our staff and students. The traffic patrol students and their moderator have been losing 10 to 15 minutes of school time directing traffic for the latecomers.

Tardiness to class without a pass will result in a 5 pt. deduction from the citizenship points per tardy after the first two warning tardies. ... 5 pt deduction: tardies, bad language, gum, food or drinks (other than water) in class, unauthorized use of the prep room, excessive bathroom use.
