The types and number of impurities present and the way in which the zeolites are cemented together are all dependent on the unique conditions during formation. Finally, one difference between zeolites worth giving special mention is the composition of exchangeable cations residing in the zeolite.

How many types of zeolites are there? ... Zeolite modification implies an irreversible change, unlike ion exchange or adsorption. There are a number of different ways that zeolites can be modified. The framework of the zeolite can be modified by synthesizing zeolites with metal cations other than aluminum and silicon in...

Over 150 zeolite structural types have been identified. The simplest synthetic zeolite is the zeolite A with a molecular ration of one silica to one alumina to one sodium cation. ... The zeolite A synthesis produces precisely duplicated sodalite units which have 47% open space, ion exchangeable sodium, water of hydration...

So I ask if anyone out there has some industrial experience with this zeolite. How well does it work for you? And were is a good place to get it in the -40 to -300 mesh range? Also, are there any other calcium rich (low sodium and potassium) zeolites you might also suggest in its place.
