Based originally in a village a few miles north of Yeovil, Wakes have provided services in the area since the 1930's. Founded originally by Reginald (Reg) Wake of South Barrow in February 1930 with a second hand Chevrolet 14-seater, services were run to Glastonbury, Yeovil and Shepton Mallet.
