Spider wasp - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This was a rather large Pompilid in Johnson county. I could not be sure what species of spider this was as I did not handle the prey item. Wasp size estimate was 24 to 26 mm. And this is the color pattern of several of the Anoplius species.
