The Charles Valentine Riley Collection was received by the National Agricultural Library (NAL) as four separate gifts. The initial collection came from the home of Riley's last surviving child, Cathryn Vedalia Riley, and was donated to NAL in 1978 by the Cathryn Vedalia Riley Trust, Victor John Yannacone, Jr., Trustee.
